British Airways suspends dog flying service

The UK recently discovered that a customer had placed their pet in an incorrectly sized crate, leading to a temporary suspension of the pet travel service yesterday.Fortunately, the dog was fine after the flight.

British Airways, unlike American Airlines, does not allow dogs or other pets to accompany passengers in the cabin as "emotional support animals."However, the UK allows registered assistance animals, such as guide dogs, to accompany passengers on flights.

Pets that died on the plane

In September last year, a six-year-old French Bulldog named Roger died of heat exhaustion and dehydration during an eight-hour KLM flight from Amsterdam to Boston.

Last March, a 5-month-old purebred Central Asian Shepherd dog, traveling on KLM from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, was found dead in the cargo hold upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport.
